Wrapping Up Our Camper Holiday with Kids in Florida
Our incredible camper holiday with kids in Florida is nearing its end. However, we still have two exciting days left! We’re spending our second day in Disney World, exploring the wonders of Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Both parks are new to us, so we’re thrilled to see what they have in store!
Exploring Animal Kingdom & Epcot
Our Florida holiday is almost over. In two days, we’ll be flying back to the Netherlands, but first, we have another day of Disney Magic planned in Animal Kingdom and Epcot.
Animal Kingdom, a blend of zoo and amusement park, exceeds our expectations. The lush plants, trees, and animals make us feel like we’re in the heart of a Thai or African jungle, depending on where we are in the park. For our kids, Floris and Lotte, it’s the perfect combination! They get to see elephants up close one minute and sail through the magical world of Pandora the next. We’re particularly impressed by the Na’vi River Journey and Kilimanjaro Safaris.
Disney’s Fastpass: A Must-Have for Your Visit
If you’re planning a trip to Disney, be sure to use the fastpass! It’s free of charge and allows you to reserve timeslots for rides through the app or website. You can use three fastpasses per day, per park, so only in one park a day. We used our fastpasses on day two for Animal Kingdom, so we couldn’t use any for Frozen Ever After in Epcot.
Best Camping Near Disney World: KOA Kissimmee
After a day full of adventure, we drive to our next camping spot, KOA Kissimmee. This campsite, just a 15-minute drive from Disney World, is our top pick for its proximity to the park and its child-friendly facilities, including a pool, a playground, and a giant bouncy cushion.
Shopping Spree in Orlando
The final day of our camper holiday with kids is dedicated entirely to shopping! We visit the Premium Outlets in Orlando. Our shopping spree starts at 11:00hrs and around 21:00hrs we are packed with bags at Denny’s, ending our wonderful holiday in style.
Farewell, USA
The next morning, we rush to the outlet mall to get an extra suitcase before returning our camper at Cruise America. We order an Uber at Cruise America, which takes us to Orlando Sanford. The check-in goes well, and before we know it, we’re aboard the plane back to Amsterdam.
Our camper holiday with kids in Florida has come to an end. We’ve had an incredible time! Now, we’re already planning our next trip. As we loved the USA’s East coast, we might consider this roadtrip along the East Coast for next year.
